The mechanism, minus the hand-waving

HOW IT
WORKS

Alcohol doesn't wreck your morning on its own. It leaves a mess behind — and your body spends the night cleaning it up. BUZZKILL is 1,029 mg of ingredients chosen to support that cleanup crew.§

Step one

WHAT YOUR BODY IS DOING

In the liver

A two-step conversion

Your liver breaks alcohol down in stages. The intermediate compound produced along the way, acetaldehyde, is considerably more reactive than the alcohol itself — and it hangs around until the second enzyme clears it.

In the tank

Fluid and minerals leave

Alcohol suppresses the hormone that tells your kidneys to hold water. More trips to the bathroom means fluid and electrolytes — magnesium in particular — go with it.

In the reserves

B vitamins get spent

Metabolizing alcohol draws on B vitamins, especially thiamin. That's why so many recovery formulas lean on a B-complex — the tank is genuinely lower than it was.

General physiology, not a claim about this product. Nothing here is medical advice.

INSIDE THE LIVER

Alcohol clears in two enzyme steps. The first one is fast. The second one is the choke point — and that middle compound is what makes you feel wrecked.

Timing

WHEN TO DRINK IT

The honest answer is any of the three. Shake it well and drink it cold — that part isn't optional, the botanicals settle.

01
Before

Ahead of the night

Start with a full tank. Useful if you already know dinner is going long.

Best if you plan ahead
02
During

Between rounds

Non-carbonated and caffeine free, so it slots in without fighting anything else you're drinking.

Won't fill you up
03
After

Last drink of the night

The most common way people use it. One can before bed, then let the night do what it does.

Straight answers

WHAT BUZZKILL IS NOT

Four things we'd rather say out loud than have you find out the hard way.

Not a cure

Nothing cures a hangover. BUZZKILL is a supplement built to support your body's own recovery process§ — not a switch that turns last night off.

Not a sobriety aid

It does not lower blood alcohol content, reduce impairment, or make anyone safe to drive. Only time does that. Get a ride.

Not a permission slip

Having one in the fridge isn't a reason to have three more. If anything, drink less and let it do its job.

Not a substitute

Water, food and sleep still do most of the work. BUZZKILL sits alongside them — it doesn't replace any of the three.

Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED

When should I drink BUZZKILL?

Before, during, or after — the label means it. Most people drink one as their last drink of the night. It's caffeine free, so it won't keep you up.

What is DHM?

Dihydromyricetin, a flavonoid found in vine tea (Ampelopsis grossedentata). It's been used in East Asian herbal traditions for centuries and it's the most-studied ingredient in our blend.§

Does it have caffeine?

Zero. No caffeine, no stimulants. That's deliberate — the last thing you need at 1 a.m. is something keeping you awake.

Will it lower my BAC or make me safe to drive?

No. BUZZKILL does not reduce impairment, lower blood alcohol content, or make anyone safe to drive. Only time does that. Get a ride.

How does it taste?

Emergency Orange is bright and tart, more citrus than sweet. Bounce Back Berry is rounder and blueberry-forward. Both are non-carbonated, so drink them cold and shake first.

Can I drink one every day?

One can is one serving. Plenty of customers use it after workouts or on travel days. If you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a known medical condition, check with your physician first.

Vegan? Gluten free?

Yes to both — and the whole No List: no carbonation, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors. Also gluten free, vegan, non-GMO, soy free and caffeine free.
